CADDS, a CAD/CAM software widely used in the shipbuilding and aeronautical domains, usesCADDS, a CAD/CAM software widely used in the shipbuilding and aeronautical domains, uses two ways to save their data:
- _pd (CADDS native explicit part files),
- _fd (CADDS 5 native Parametric part files),

Our experience and our knowledge of CADDS format now enable us to use the parametric format in addition to explicit so as to recover surfaces and volumes data.

Our CADDS translators include this new reading, in CrossCAD/STA and CrossCAD/PLG, as well as our next translator CrossManager.
