DATAKIT has participated in the last LOTAR workshop which has held in Toulouse, France, from 14th to 17th of June 2010.

About archiving of PMI in STEP, a global check has been done about the issues remaining to be fixed, identified by tests and pilot projects, and proposed solutions. As well as on the needs to extent the standard, already listed or leaded by the evolution of drawing standards ASME and ISO.

DATAKIT is fully involved in the work of LOTAR group about PMI. : summary of experience, proposals for evolution, prototyping and tests - on the current standard (AP203 Edition 2) or to validate the proposals for the coming standard AP242 in order to speed up the standardization process. 

Among the other topics considered, we can list Composite design, PDM, links with visualization of archived CAD data.

By participating in these works, DATAKIT is at the cutting edge in the domain of CAD data archiving, in particular for PMI.
