Read .stp .step .stpZ files in the neutral STEP format (Standard for the Exchange of Product Model Data), the most widely used neutral format for exchanging data between CAD systems.
Datakit is committed in the support of STEP for many years.
The STEP convertors developed by Datakit offered possibilities for exchanging 3D BREP data at parts and assembly level in a variety of areas, such as PMI, properties and attributs.
Write CAD .dae files of COLLADA format. COLLADA was created by Sony Computer Entertainment, which then invited other companies in a non-profit consortium of more than 170 software vendors to take in charge its development. The aim was to simplify the transfer of 3D files between different applications for designers and other drawing professionals.
They now share the copyright for COLLADA, with applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk 3ds Max and SketchUp that support this type of file.
