We know that many of you have been waiting impatiently for a way to import all Catia V5 assemblies into Inventor 11 without losing the assembly structures. We are now proud to present solution !

Are the structural differences between Catia V5 and Inventor 11 supported ?

It was important for us to make sure that the structural matches between Catia V5 and Inventor 11 were maintained, but we also we wanted to address cases where there is a structural difference between the two environments: for example, Inventor 11 considers a Catia V5 Cat.Part containing multibodies as an assembly.

Does the interface work for all assembly types ?

It understands the different types of Catia V5 assembly and supports the assembly tree structure. This includes the following assembly types : Single level assembly Assembly of assemblies Containing components Flexible or Standard

Is all naming supported ?

Yes. All the names used in Catia V5 are kept in the Inventor 11 iam or ipt files.
