Portability between platforms and operating systems, interoperability, capability to guaranty
lifetime of archived data, its upgradability, supporting technical innovations without existing
data having to be reconverted for transcoding purposes, and modularity, enable time to
market to be decreased.
The increasing needs to recover the different data available in a model probably explain in
part Datakit’s results which are very positive ones, for the 4 past years

Turnover was about 1.8 Million Euros in 2006.
The company expected at least a yearly 20% growth for the next four years.
Datakit used to target the European market, which accounted for more than 60% of sales,
followed by the USA and Asia that contributed around 29% and 8% of turnover respectively.
Datakit currently works in relationships with around 70 software companies. Testimonies of
some of them are available within the newsletters. Last year Datakit, convinced 10
additionnal software companies to chose its technology, as it already did during the former
years.

New translators are also developed to allow users to exploit new formats such as CGR or JT.
They meet the needs of companies that are reluctant to work from native files, either
because the files are too bulky, or because they don’t have a license.
The Cad plug-ins range of translators weighs ever more in the turnover. Generally speaking
demand in native interfaces is clearly rising. |
